Before you start
- A Fluenceur Growth plan. MCP access is included; any team member connects with their own Fluenceur login.
- A Claude plan that supports custom connectors: Free, Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. Free accounts are limited to one custom connector.
- On a Team or Enterprise workspace, the owner adds Fluenceur once from Organization Settings before members can connect individually.
Official Claude connector setup covers the platform side in more depth than this guide needs to repeat.
Connect Fluenceur to Claude in 6 steps
https://api.fluenceur.com/mcp- Open Settings → ConnectorsOn claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Settings, then Connectors. On Team or Enterprise, ask the owner to add Fluenceur from Organization Settings → Connectors first.
- Add a custom connectorClick Add, then Add custom connector, and paste
https://api.fluenceur.com/mcp. Leave the optional manual OAuth fields blank. - Click ConnectClaude opens Fluenceur's sign-in and consent screen in a new tab.
- Sign in with your brand accountAny Fluenceur user can connect; what Claude can see follows what that person can already see in Fluenceur.
- Pick the brand and review the capabilitiesReview your organization, choose which brands to authorize, and check the list of what Claude will be able to do.
- AuthorizeClaude shows the connector as Connected. Start a new chat and ask.
What happens on the Fluenceur consent screen
The screen that opens is Fluenceur's, not Claude's. It shows Claude's name, the Fluenceur account you're signed in with, and your organization with every brand inside it, none preselected. Below that, a plain list of capabilities: reading brand context and performance, searching creators, writing programs, sending communications, managing Gifting and collaborations, and preparing co-publicity.
Every brand starts unchecked. Authorizing an organization does not authorize every brand inside it: pick only the ones Claude should see. Paid co-publicity always needs a separate approval inside Fluenceur, whatever you authorize here.
Prompts to try once Claude is connected
Creator DiscoveryA few starting points, adapted to whatever your team is working on this week:
- Find 6 US fitness creators on TikTok, 30k–150k followers, who already post about recovery products. Compare their engagement and rate cards.
- Create a gifting program called Winter Restock: 20 creators, our new candle line, deadline in three weeks.
- Who in Winter Restock hasn't claimed their gift yet? Draft a short reminder for the ones past the deadline.
- How did Winter Restock perform last month? Revenue, orders and top creator, compared to the month before.
If Claude doesn't behave as expected
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Claude says the connector has no tools | Claude cached an old tool list | Open the connector in Settings → Connectors and refresh it, or disconnect and reconnect |
| Stuck on Fluenceur's sign-in page | The consent link expired, or reopened an old browser tab | Restart the connection from Claude instead of reusing a previous tab |
| Can't add a second custom connector | The Free plan allows only one custom connector | Remove another custom connector, or upgrade to Pro or Max |
| Team members don't see Fluenceur as an option | The workspace owner hasn't added it for the organization yet | Ask the owner to add Fluenceur from Organization Settings → Connectors first |
| Claude answers with invented creator names or numbers | The connector wasn't actually called for that question | Check the connector shows Connected, and ask something that clearly needs Fluenceur data |
Security, scopes and revoking access
Each connection is scoped to the brand or brands you authorized, and to what your Fluenceur role already allows: a viewer connects Claude as a viewer. Claude never sends a message, offers a gift or creates a program by itself: it drafts the action and only carries it out once you say yes in the conversation. Paid co-publicity is the one exception: Claude can prepare the terms, but only you, inside Fluenceur, can approve spending on it.
Active connections are listed in your Fluenceur account, under Settings → Connected assistants. Remove a brand or reduce the permissions at any time; removing the last brand or read access revokes the connection completely, and Claude loses access immediately.
Questions
What is MCP, and why does Claude need it to see real creator data?
Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets Claude call an outside tool, here Fluenceur, instead of guessing. Without it, Claude has no live creator data and tends to invent handles and audience numbers.
Which Claude plan lets me add a custom connector?
Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise all support custom connectors using remote MCP. Free accounts are limited to one; Team and Enterprise workspaces need the owner to add Fluenceur once before members connect.
Can Claude send invitations or spend money through Fluenceur on its own?
No. Claude drafts an invitation, a reminder or a program and asks you to confirm before it acts. The one exception is paid co-publicity: Claude prepares the terms, but only you, inside Fluenceur, can approve the spend.
Why does Claude say the Fluenceur connector has no tools available?
Claude caches the tool list from the last time it connected. Open the connector and refresh it, or reconnect, to pick up Fluenceur's current tools.
Is my Fluenceur data shared with Anthropic?
Data a tool call returns is processed by Claude under Anthropic's terms, the same as anything else you paste into a conversation. Fluenceur sends nothing outside a request you make.
