Cookies Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by FLUENCEUR and how you can control them. It is written in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the recommendation issued by the French data protection authority (CNIL) on trackers.

Scope: this policy describes the trackers set while you browse the fluenceur.com website. Processing of personal data that does not involve trackers is described in our privacy policy.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It lets the site remember a piece of information between two pages or two visits, for example a choice you have made. The broader term "tracker" covers any technology used to read or write information on your device.

Some trackers are strictly necessary for the service to work, and the law allows them to be set without your consent. All others, in particular non exempt audience measurement and advertising trackers, may only be set after you have given your consent.

2. The cookies we set

There are only three tracker categories on this site: necessary, audience measurement and advertising. The last two are refused by default.

Strictly necessary cookie, set without consent

  • Name: cookie_consent
  • Issuer: FLUENCEUR, a first party cookie set by the website itself
  • Purpose: store your tracker preferences, so that you are not asked again on every page and so that only what you accepted is activated
  • Content: a JSON object holding a version number, a timestamp and your choice for each category. It contains no personal data.
  • Lifetime: approximately 13 months
  • Attributes: SameSite=Lax, Path=/, Secure flag over HTTPS
  • Consent required: no, an exempt tracker under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act

Audience measurement, subject to your consent

  • Service: Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited
  • Purpose: measure site traffic, understand navigation paths and improve our content
  • Example cookies: _ga and _ga_ followed by the property identifier
  • Indicative lifetime: 13 months
  • Consent required: yes. This category is refused by default.

Advertising, subject to your consent

  • Service: Google Ads conversion tracking, provided by Google Ireland Limited
  • Purpose: measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and attribute conversions
  • Example cookie: _gcl_au
  • Indicative lifetime: 90 days
  • Consent required: yes. This category is refused by default.

These measurements are triggered by the Google Tag Manager container GTM-5M5WW4FP, which is loaded on a deferred basis. The tags it contains cannot write a cookie until you have given explicit consent.

Through these services, data may be transferred outside the European Union, in particular to the United States. Such transfers are framed by the Data Privacy Framework, to which Google adheres, and where applicable by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

3. Measurements exempt from consent

  • Consent cookie. The cookie_consent cookie described above is required to store and honour your choice. It is set without consent, as the regulation allows.
  • Vercel Web Analytics. This audience measurement tool is active on every page of the site. It sets no cookie and uses no persistent identifier that would allow you to be followed from one visit to the next. On that basis it is not subject to your consent. We mention it here for transparency.
  • Providers called from our servers. Cal.com for demo booking, HubSpot for customer relationship management and MailerLite for the newsletter are called only from our servers. They set no cookie in your browser when you visit the site. The data we send them is described in our privacy policy.

4. Your consent, and how to withdraw it

On your first visit, a banner appears before any non necessary tracker is set. It offers three equally prominent actions, on the same row and in the same format: "Accept all", "Reject all" and "Customise". Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting. The "Customise" panel lets you accept or refuse each category individually.

Until you have made a choice, no tracker requiring consent is set. Before any tag is loaded, the site applies Google Consent Mode v2: the analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals are set to denied by default, with a waiting period so that your choice is taken into account before anything is sent. Tags are activated only if you allow them.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, through the "Manage cookies" link in the footer. The preferences panel reopens and your new choice applies immediately. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

5. Browser settings

You can also configure your browser to accept, block or delete cookies. The exact paths vary by version:

  • Google Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Settings or Preferences, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.

Please note: blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, degrades the service. In particular, if the cookie_consent cookie cannot be stored, your preferences cannot be remembered and the banner will reappear on every visit. Deleting that cookie manually also erases your preferences.

6. How long your choices are kept

Your choices, whether you accepted or refused, are kept for approximately 13 months, the maximum period recommended by the CNIL. We do not ask again on every visit: a refusal is honoured for exactly as long as an acceptance.

The consent cookie carries a version number. If our tracker policy changes significantly, that number is incremented and your consent is requested again.

7. Your rights and contact

Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict your data, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. You may withdraw your consent to trackers at any time as described in section 4.
